our story.

The Faculty of Calisthenics is a boutique shophouse studio nestled in the vibrant district of Kampong Glam.

At The Faculty, we believe that strength isn’t about lifting heavy weights — it’s about mastering control over your own body. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals of all fitness levels can build a strong foundation in Calisthenics before progressing to more advanced skills.

Led by experienced trainers, including our founder Haaziq (@caliwithziqqy) —a seasoned personal trainer with years of strength training expertise, and his wife, Ashikin (@ashyclair) — who is passionate about empowering women to break boundaries, we focus on proper technique, progressive training, and sustainable results. 2017: How it all started: Street-style Calisthenics

It all began outdoors.

Start Station Bodyweight Fitness

"We started Start Station right after graduating from NUS and our parents and friends thought we were crazy! We started from scratch, by conducting Calisthenics bootcamps outdoors at different fitness stations across Singapore - from Bedok Reservoir Park to Tiong Bahru Park to Toa Payoh. Over the first few months we got to meet and be inspired by so many different individuals all of different demographics and fitness levels. We love being a part of the fitness journey - being able to witness someone struggling with their planks to finally being able to do a proper push-up and pull-up. That inspires us and gives us the drive to do more and provide more for our students. Every day we keep working towards expanding Start Station and so that everyone will be able to experience bodyweight trainings and eventually fall in love with Calisthenics, Yoga and Movement.”
